We believe that a student's self-esteem is enhanced by positive relationships with supportive adults. Becoming a volunteer is a fabulous way to make a difference in a child's life.
Hands On Work
- Classroom volunteers
- Weekly commitment
- Read one on one with students or help with their daily work
Library Volunteers
- Shelf books, manage database, read or help students with library skills
Extended Day Program Volunteers
- Tutor or help students with homework
- Facilitate or assist with a special activity or clinic
Field Trip Chaperones
- Help organize and chaperone students on field trips
Special Projects
There are also numerous opportunities for those who like to work from the sidelines. Yellowstone Academy has a guild that provides many volunteer services for special projects and events such as holiday celebrations.
Special Projects include:
- Holiday events
- Christmas, Valentine's Day, and End-of-Year classroom parties
- School events
- Parent Open House and Family Game Night
- Teacher projects
- Teacher/staff appreciation luncheons once a month
